Code Of Conduct
Scope
Tengei Christian Academy has developed a Code of Conduct as a positive means of encouraging appropriate behavior. The Code of Conduct simply represent the desired behaviors and habits that students are expected to model and practice daily. We will consistently challenge students to consider their behavior and contributions to school life in terms of the Code of Conduct.
The School Mission is achieved in a safe, secure, and supportive environment where behavior is based on a commitment to mutual respect for all members of Tengei Christian Academy family.
Every endeavor is made to promote a positive, caring, and cooperative atmosphere, in which the rights and responsibilities of all members of the school community are acknowledged and upheld.
Every person has the right to:
- be treated with respect and understanding
- be treated as an individual
- work and learn in a positive classroom environment
- feel safe while learning and interacting with others
- expect property and belongings to be safe
- appreciate the beauty of our surroundings
- be proud of their appearance
- enjoy and participate in school activities
Dress Code

Dress Code
Appearance is the first impression of an individual’s personality. We emphasize modest, neat and conforming student appearance.
Dress code is as follows:
Girls
- Neatly combed platted or tied (long) hair.
- Skirts – minimum length when straight‐arm by side and hand stretched out.
- No underwear visible at any time.
- The heel on shoes and boots should not be higher than 5 centimetres.
- No jewellery; earrings, necklaces, bracelets, bangles, anklets etc.
- No heavy make-up is to worn in school.
- If you have extensions, make sure it is neatly tied up to a bun.
Boys
- Hair should be combed or tied (for long hair) neatly.
- No dreadlocks.
- Trousers should be worn around the waist i.e. no underwear visible at any time.
- Facial hair should be neat, clean, closely trimmed.
- Shirts must have sleeves. Singlets and sleeveless vests are not to be worn.
Rules applying to both genders
- No inappropriate t‐shirt prints (swear words, drugs, nudity etc.).
- Shorts or trousers should not have rips or tears in them.
- No hats are to be worn in classrooms. Hats can only be worn on sports day.
- No inside-clothes should be worn revealing out from the uniforms
- Transparent material on clothing is not acceptable.
- Hair should be neat, tidy, and not distracting to other students (i.e. if dyed, then it must be a natural colour).
- Black shoes and white socks are the required foot ware to be worn every day, except on sports days and rainy days where you may wear sports shoes and sandals respectively.
