Code Of Conduct
Scope
The refund Policy of School Fees and Transport Fees for students at Tengei Christian Academy is as follows:
a) ALL REFUNDS WILL BE MADE TO THE SPONSOR AT THE END OF THE ACADEMIC YEAR (2ND OR 3RD WEEK OF DECEMBER)
b) Request for school fees/transport fees refund will be entertained only through submission of the properly completed “Refund Request Form, received from the school.
c) The eligibility of refund will be established as per the following criteria:

i. 50% Refund

· If student has paid all fees (tuition fees or transport fees or both) in full, either for the year or for the respective instalment, i.e., they have no outstanding, and choose to withdraw BEFORE week 5 of the current or imminent term, and WITH documentary evidence, whether the student has or has not attended school/classes on a full-time basis. |
ii. 40% Refund | · If student has paid all fees in full, either for the year or for the respective instalment, i.e., they have no outstanding, and choose to withdraw BEFORE week 5 of the current or imminent term, and WITHOUT documentary evidence, whether the student has or has attended classes and/or neither utilized the school transport on a full-time basis. |
iii. 30% Refund |
· If withdrawn IN or AFTER week 5 of the academic term WITH documentary evidence whether the student has or has not attended classes and/or neither utilized the school transport on a full-time basis.
· After Full annual Fees (tuition fees or transport fees or both) paid on TCA’s Tax Invoice, a 30% administration charge will apply. This only applies where the refund eligibility criteria is not met. |
iv. No Refund |
· If Tuition fees & Transport fees are paid on TCA’s Tax Invoice without meeting any of the above.
· If withdrawn IN or AFTER week 5 of the academic term WITHOUT documentary evidence whether the student has or has not attended classes and/or neither utilized the school transport on a full-time basis. · Terminated for disciplinary reasons. · Enrolment/Project Fees & Application Form · Any payment arrangements, if any, other than yearly or instalment payments (e.g. Termly payments) · Children on school transport who are late for pickup or absent from school. · Any emergencies as announced by the PNG Government, e.g., Covid-19, or weather, fights/threats, unrests and other circumstances beyond TCA’s control or the school convenes a decision that best suits to change or stop of operation, esp. for school transport. |
d) Only where transport fees have been paid in full, either for the year or for the respective instalment, i.e., they have no outstanding transport fees, can fees be proportionally refunded based on period of service provided to the student(s), and based on the above refund criteria, ONLY WHERE:
- Student withdraws from school provided WITH evidence of reason.
- Parents/guardians decide to provide own transport for their child/ren.
- Student is sick for more than 3 weeks absent from school WITH medical certificate of proof.
